Jazz Technique Level 3 (8th-12th Grade)

This intensive pre-professional class is designed to improve student’s jazz technique and vocabulary. Each class incorporates a warm-up focused on stretching and strengthening to increase flexibility and placement. Across-the-floor progressions and center exercises help dancers enhance their leaps, jumps, and turns. Throughout the course of the semester, students will have the opportunity to train in the areas of jazz, contemporary, and lyrical. This class is essential for those students interested in dancing at the Advanced or Elite Competition level! At least 3 years of dance experience is recommended for this class. This class is highly recommended for the following:

• Dancers with technical proficiency and a thorough understanding of vocabulary
• Advanced Dance Company weekly supplemental class
• Prospective Advanced Dance Company Member audition preparation
• College Audition Prep/Pre-screen Prep
